Welcome to the Smugglers’ Cave

The cave was discovered by groups of looters, who used it to hide stolen treasures from the past. You can still see the markings that once indicated its entrance. Since the 1980s, the cave has become one of the island’s most important tourist destinations. One of the most significant parts of the visit takes place outside the cave, along the magnificent cliffs that lead visitors to the entrance.

During the 40-minute journey through the cave, you will enjoy the natural environment shaped by the passage of time. Stalactites and stalagmites create a magnificent setting. They formed when the cave once contained water, even though it is now dry.
