Welcome to the Valley of Mordor
At the heart of Ibiza’s preserved landscapes, where the waves of the Mediterranean Sea crash against steep cliffs, lies a true natural treasure: a natural pool shaped by the island’s volcanic forces. Nestled between walls of volcanic rock, this wild oasis feels like a well-kept secret,
far from the bustle of island life.
The basalt rocks, deep black and streaked with veins of lava, frame the crystal-clear water like a giant sculpture — a natural amphitheater where wind and sea seem to unite in an eternal dance. The pool, irregular in shape, stretches within this rocky formation, offering a setting that is both raw and serene. The water that fills it comes directly from the sea, flowing in with the waves when the ocean is restless,
then gently warming under the Iberian sun.
We then wander into a corridor of volcanic rock that silently winds through hills and steep cliffs. This natural passage, carved by millennia of geological forces, feels almost timeless, like a secret artery connecting land and ocean.
The walls of the corridor, made of basalt and solidified lava, bear deep striations — remnants of an ancient eruption. They are intensely black, almost magnetic, sharply contrasting with the bright blue Iberian sky. In places, strange rock formations rise like sculptures born from frozen magma, giving the site a mystical and timeless character.
